Lit à la Fraise is the ideal place of departure at the tourist spots in the Dordogne/Perigord to visit and explore.
THE CAVES OF LASCAUX
Lascaux is worldfamous for its Préhistoric cave paintings, because of their exceptional quality, size, sophistication and antiquity. They are not even an hour away from 'Lit à la Fraise'. Highly recommended!
LAC DE NEUF FONTS
Lac de Neuf Fonts is about five minutes from the property.
It is a beautiful little lake, with little beaches, possibility of swimming, water cycling and a bar/restaurant.
A few miles south of Bergerac you can find the 16th century castle of Monbazillac, well known for it's winery but also a museum worth visiting.
The Dordogne is also called the 'prehistoric region'. While driving through the area, you'll find many theme parks about the prehistoric man 'Cro Magnon'. But most worth seeing are without any doubt the caves with the prehistoric art. Because of all of this prehistoric heritage, the village of Les Eyzies de Tayax Sireuil has been given the title of world capital of prehistory.
The capital of the Dordogne has a famous basilican church and is a city filled with culture, history, nice terraces and great market.
Périgueux has also got a very nice golf course: http://golfdeperigueux.com/fr
